Who is PoLLy PoE! ?

Hi ! My real name is Dawna. 

PoLLy PoE! is a pseudonym that i use when

writing my Silly Story-Poems.
Polly is for Pollyanna ( a person characterized by irrepressible optimism and a tendency to find good in everything.)

and Poe is for Poetry....hence PoLLy PoE! 

I grew up with a love for reading and reading out loud because of my Grandmother. She would read me stories and act them out.

As I got older I would write stories and she would draw the pictures.
Once upon a time, PoLLy PoE! performed story-poems at open stages, fundraisers and anywhere people would listen.
These story-poems are rhyming, alliterative, lyrical

and of course...SiLLy!

making it great fun for kids learning to read, who love to read,

who love to read out loud.

Parents will have fun reading them too.

These SiLLy StOry-PoEms have been described as

Dr. Seuss meets Mother Goose with a dash of Dennis Lee.

I have and always will love and need the smell and feel of a book in my hands..until then....
